5th Annual Blooming Art in Bonita
Bonita Museum & Cultural Center
April 9 & 10 from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

The flowers of spring move inside to beautify the galleries of the Bonita Museum & Cultural Center as Blooming Art in Bonita returns for its 5th annual exhibit. Local floral designers, using as their inspiration art that is on display in the Museum’s Juried Art Exhibit, combine color and fragrance to create an indoor garden of artistic delights. Blooming Art in Bonita is hosted by the Bonita Valley Garden Club, which is celebrating their 39th year. Participation in the exhibit is open to anyone. Designers interested in participating in the exhibit need to visit the Bonita Museum by April 4th during regular business hours, where they will need to register for the exhibit, and choose a piece of art for inspiration. Participants are required to provide their own pedestals for their finished arrangement, and choose and purchase their own flowers.
Ongoing Projects
A dedicated group of members meets every Thursday morning at 8:30 a.m. in front of the Kumon Learning Center on Central Avenue (behind Starbucks) to pick up trash on the Stephanie Rossi Trail in the open space of the Sweetwater Regional Park. The club also maintains a native plant garden at the Summit Park Campground area.

Club Meetings
We meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. at the Bonita-Sunnyside Library's Community Room. Everyone is welcome to attend.
