Sweetwater 36-inch Transmission Main Pipeline Replacement Project
The Sweetwater Water District will be replacing steel pipeline in an area from the I-805 through Bonita Road, Bonita Golf Course and the Chula Vista Golf Course to the Sweetwater Dam area.
According to the Sweetwater Water District, “the 36-inch transmission main is a critical component of Sweetwater Authority’s water distribution system… and will be replaced to maintain service reliability.”
Nearby roads, trails and parking will have some delays, detours and scheduled closures. The project is slated to begin on December 2019 and construction is estimated to be completed in December 2020.
