Community News – San Diego Sheriffs Launched New Community Response Resources

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office has introduced a new non-emergency phone number, making it easier for residents to report everyday concerns without dialing 911. The new number, (858) 868-3200, is now the go-to line for issues like suspicious activity, noise complaints, non-urgent reports, and general inquiries. Officials are encouraging the community to update their contacts and help spread awareness.

In addition to the new number, the Sheriff’s Office is sharing helpful resources through QR codes that connect residents to tools like the Calls for Service website, community event calendars, crime mapping, and the monthly newsletter. These quick-access links make it easier for the public to stay informed and engaged with local safety updates.

While these tools improve accessibility, emergencies remain unchanged—residents should always call 911 when there is an immediate threat to life, property, or safety.
