✨ COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT✨

Chula Vista Live Steamers Needs Your Help!

Chula Vista Live Steamers (CVLS) is a ride-able railroad club established in January 1974 by a group of people who share a common interest in building and operating scale models of live steam machinery. The club’s main purpose is to provide both their members and the public with a way to recreate railroads of past and present, serving as educational entertainment for both kids and adults. On public run days, Chula Vista Live Steamers welcomes everyone to come out and ride on their 1/8 scale trains in Rohr Park, providing a unique opportunity to experience the joy of steam trains firsthand.

CVLS is currently closed until further notice due to flood damage caused by a recent storm. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the CVLS members, local volunteers, and volunteers from other California steamer clubs for their recent track work and clean-up help. Although there is still more work to be done, members remain committed to reopening CVLS to the public soon. While the upcoming storms may cause some delays, they will not prevent the club from achieving this goal.

Please consider donating towards cleanup and repair costs to help keep the Chula Vista Live Steamers running in Bonita for generations to come. We have provided their links below where you can donate:
