✨ COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT ✨
Ranchito Milkyway Farm!
Ranchito Milkyway Farm was established in 2021 by farmers and owners, Christian and Alyssa. They realized that to run a successful farm, they would need to focus on three important factors. Firstly, they wanted to create a connection between people and their food, by showcasing where it is grown and who grows it. Secondly, they wanted the farm to be local, so visitors could stop by every week and get their hands on fresh and organic produce. Finally, they knew that the farming practices should be regenerative, meaning they must work in harmony with nature and avoid chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
Today, Ranchito Milkyway Farm is thriving and growing a variety of delicious vegetables. Every Sunday, the farm sets up a stand for its members, providing them with fresh and healthy produce and the chance to chat every week.
Residents of Bonita and San Diego can sign up for Ranchito Milkyway’s Veggie boxes through their Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program on GrownBy! You can pick up your veggie box weekly or bi-weekly on Sundays at the farm itself, from 10 AM to 2 PM, or in Clairemont from 4 PM to 7 PM.
