Please join us for the upcoming Sweetwater Valley Civic Association Meeting.
Dear SVCA Members,
I’m sending you a heads up to please reserve the evening of June 1, 2022, for our annual meeting. This is always a fun and informative Community event and a good time to renew your membership if you haven’t done so. We will have our County Supervisor, Nora Vargas, join us for the first part of the meeting. She will have no/few prepared remarks because this is your opportunity to talk to her and let her know what is on your mind. She will also be seeking your feedback on the proposed County budget. I hope to have a budget summary available either before or at the meeting.
This is also our time and opportunity to vote on two proposed Bylaws changes. I will get those proposed changes out to you next week.
Finally, it is time to vote for our 2022-2023 slate of elected officers: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. If you are interested in any of these opportunities, please let me know so we can add your name. If we hope to remain a viable voice for our community, we all have to step up and help out. Part of this process also includes the election of Neighborhood Directors for all even-numbered neighborhoods. Neighborhood Directors are critical to our ability to bring forward and address important issues that may be unique to certain neighborhoods.
Please thoughtfully consider increasing your involvement in our truly grass roots organization.
