Dear Sweetwater Valley Civic Association Members and Community Representatives:
I’m sharing this graphic information flyer with everyone so you understand how to navigate the new HAWK beacon light system recently installed by Sunnyside Elementary School on San Miguel Road.
This comes up fast from both the east- and west-bound traffic so you need to be prepared to react. This light is a long time coming, and we want to ensure the safety of both pedestrians and drivers. Please take a few minutes to review the below graphic and pass it on to your neighbors who may not be members of the SVCA.
I also requested that the City of Chula Vista and SANDAG leadership enlighten residents who live east of I-805 who use this road. We currently have drivers ignoring the red light, and this is both very wrong and very dangerous.
