News and information from the recent Sweetwater Valley Civic Association February 1st Meeting.
Dear SVCA Members and Community Members,
At the recent February 1st SVCA meeting we had guests with an important message regarding the construction of a new 48” water pipeline planned for installation in the roadways of Alameda, Valley, and Sweetwater Roads. The exact construction dates are not yet set in stone, but the City of San Diego is in planning mode for this disruptive event. Rawsan Salha and her team shared what they had so far, and will continue to get everyone’s feedback, mitigation, ideas and etc. Sweetwater Valley Civic Association’s Vice President, Sharmane Estolano, chaired this meeting in my absence as I will be at the State of the County presentation representing our organization.
February 1st Agenda Snapshot:
- Treasurer’s report for February 2023.
- Fire Safety from Fire Chief Mike Sims and from Sheriff’s Dept Julio Garcia
- Elected Representative Reports: Andrew Harvey (will not be present due to the State of County presentation) and Amanda Angulo, Policy Advisor, from the office of Chula Vista Mayor, John McCann
